Brownie is one of the most popular cakes in the world. Occurs in countless variations. Brownie textures start with fudge brownies and end with light, more airy (cake brownies). How to make brownies?
What is worth knowing about the brownie?
Combinations of extra ingredients are another story – the basic chocolate-flour-egg mass can be mixed with any nuts, coffee, whiskey, liqueurs, kajmak, dried fruit. Brownie can be undercooked, almost flowing inside, almost like fondant, or completely baked, compact and hard. Works as an element of a complex, exquisite dessert or as a simple treat, washed down with milk, coffee or tea. But where did the brownie come from?
The first published recipes for brownie date from 1904, and several different theories about its creation. One of them is told by Mrs. Brown. The story says that a cake was accidentally invented by a librarian from an American school. One day, waiting for the visit of friends, she decided to bake a classic chocolate cake. Unfortunately, hurrying, she forgot to add baking powder to it. The cake did not rise, but Mrs. Brown did not care at all and decided to treat her guests to it. They loved the cake.
